Nearly two weeks after reaching a career milestone of 5,000 yards receiving, New York Jets tight end Kellen Winslow will have four games to sit and think about his decision to break the NFL’s performance enhancing drugs policy.
Kellen Winslow has been suspended without pay for four games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

“It came as a huge surprise to me when I learned that I tested positive for a banned substance. I have investigated all possible sources since learning of the positive test, including possible medical causes, but frustratingly, I do not know the source,” Winslow said in a statement.
Winslow had this to say about his performance and surpassing 5,000 yards in receiving during the 38-13 loss to Tennessee:
“It doesn’t mean much,” he said of the achievement. “I expect a lot from myself. I’ve got a long way to go. My goals for myself are way past that. It is an achievement, but I’m trying to do way more than that.”
The NFL is not playing around with PEDs anymore–with Winslow’s history of injuries and being an NFL journeyman, this might be a tough one to overcome!
