Restaurant Sued for Feeding Employee Magic Mushrooms

Most restaurants have mushrooms on the menu, but according to the New York Post the owner of Sticky’s Finger Joint was serving special mushrooms in late 2012. Waitress Sofie Rasmussen is suing Paul Abrahamian, an owner of the New York fried chicken restaurant for giving her a close-your-eyes-and-guess-what-this-is sample of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Rasmussen states:

“I was expecting chicken. It didn’t taste great. I was so confused. I was like, what the f–k is this? Then I realized what it was. I felt weird. I was floating. I really didn’t want to talk to customers. I was being goofy. I was tripping, and I had one or two hours left on my shift.”

Rasmussen claims she did not immediately report the incident because Abrahamian threatened to fire her. Abrahamian denies all allegations.
